Remove your Money Blocks and Create New Money Habits in 4-Steps: Part 3

Hi Friends, my name is Lucas and welcome to session three of how to break through your financial blocks! If you feel stuck or challenged with money and you're not sure why you’re in the right place!

In the first 2 sessions we identified all of our financial blocks. If you haven’t completed those sessions, check ‘em out now and return when you’re done.

In today’s session, we’ll look at creating new financial habits that will dissolve our old financial blocks. Be sure to download the free workbook and let’s get to it!

Looking At Session 2 of Your Workbook

In session 2, I asked you to list everything that is helping and hurting you when it comes to money. Please open your workbook to session 2 and take a look at your list.

ON the right side you listed a ton of things that are holding you back and some of those behaviors are going to be much easier to let go of then others. For example, I used to be really stingy so I practiced being generous. Pretty straightforward.

But, sometimes I feel like i’m not smart enough to make money, and because those feelings are deeply ingrained, it’s a little more challenging to let go of.

I’d like you to circle all of the behaviors you feel would be easy let go of and for all of the things that are more challenging, we’ll address those in the final session.

Step 2:

Once you have a few things circled, it’s time to come up with more productive behaviors. Let’s say that you tend to carry credit card debt for months at a time.. a more productive habit would be to pay off your credit card purchases immediately.

Or, maybe you’re feeling stingy like I used to be, so you could practice generosity. The goal is to come up with behaviors that’ll benefit your wealth, health or happiness. And a great way to start is to ask yourself, “What’s the opposite of what I’m currently doing?”

When I feel like there’s not enough, to me, the opposite is to express gratitude for what I already have. Oh, and by the way, if your new behavior contributes to the happiness of other people, you’ll receive bonus points

Step 3:

In my experience, it’s much easier to practice a new skill than it is to break an old habit.  Think about it…  When we focus our time and energy on getting healthy, we eat well, sleep well, go to the gym, take care of our mental health and hang with  healthy people. By pursuing healthy habits, we have very little time or interest for things that are unhealthy.

It’s the same thing with our finances - focus your energy on behaviors that expand your wealth and  happiness and you’ll feel better, more confident and your bank accounts will grow.

Out with the old, by replacing it with the new or as Dr. Joe Dispenza says, “New thoughts and new habits creates new results”.

By the way, if you’d like some help coming up with more productive behaviors, schedule a free 1 on 1 session with me here.

Lesson Recap:

  • The simplest way to break through financial blocks is to practice new behaviors - As you do, the old ones will start to dissolve.

  • Pick one new habit that you’re excited about and try it out. Give it a little time and when you’re ready, incorporate another new behavior.

The Bigger Financial Picture:

Before we wrap up, I invite you to zoom out and look at the bigger picture with me for just a moment.. We’ve been accumulating financial baggage for most of our lives - a lot of these financial blocks run deep so, it’ll take time to let it all go.

Ultimately what we’re talking about here is a complete lifestyle transformation so I invite you to look at this like running a marathon, not a sprint.

I encourage you to move art your own pace. I started off buying friends lunch and giving to people in need and then practiced that for an entire year. All kinds of feelings and emotions came up and there was many times when I felt tight, restricted and wanted to be stingy.

That’s normal. As you practice new behaviors, the old ones will show up.. so the big question is, will you fall back into the old, comfortable habits or, will you remember why left them behind?

And that brings us to the 4th and final session of this series… we’ll address the thoughts, feelings and habits that are deeply imbedded and I’ll show you how I let them go.

If you’re enjoying this series it would mean a lot to hear from you. Leave a comment, like, subscribe and if you know anyone that could benefit from my videos, please share.

Thank you for your time and energy, See you in session 4
